AccuWeather Forecast: Heat spike for next 2 days

Takeaway of the Day
Despite the continued presence of high clouds, this has been another warm to hot day. High temperatures ranged from near 70 degrees at the coast to near 90 around the bay shoreline to near 100 inland. And it feels a bit muggy because of a flow of monsoonal moisture coming up from our south, Tonight, we'll see a continuing flow of mid and high level clouds across the Bay Area, and overnight low temperatures will be in the mild-to-warm range, mainly mid-60s.

A Look Ahead
Our mid-July heat spike will continue for the next two days, with high temperatures peaking in the lower-70s at the coast, 90 degrees around the bay shoreline, and near 100 degrees inland. This spike in temperatures brings with it a moderate risk of heat-related illnesses along increased fire concerns. Follow the usual hot weather tips: Stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the heat, and seek shade when outside. The heat will ease beginning Thursday, and we can expect further cooling in all areas going into the weekend.
